Matt Cradle Journey to Fame

Matt Cardle is a fame British singer, after he won the seventh series of The X Factor that makes him have a recording contract with Syco Music. He was a member of alternative rock band, before applying to The X Factor. Most recently, Matt Cardle works as a painter and decorator. He was born in Southampton, Hampshire, England on 15 April 1983. He was diagnosed with tumor when he was two years old. But he recovered after enduring chemotherapy and having one of his kidney removed. Although his parents own Frazer-Nash Associates, a logistics consultancy firm, his father says that music is in the genes.



The X Factor Audition



Matt spent more than a decade trying to make his rock group at Drama College go in the music business. Matt Cardle started his first audition in 2010 with his version of Amy Winehouse’s "You Know I’m No Good". In the bootcamp, he performs "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". With Dannii Minogue as his mentor, he got to "Judges Houses" in the category of the "Boys". Matt Cardle received the second highest number of public votes by sang "When Love Takes Over" on the first live show and make it through to week 2. After that, every week he received the most votes. In the week 4, he sang "Bleeding Love" with Halloween as the theme. Cardle won the show by receiving 44.61% of the vote, singing "Unfaithful" duetted with Rihana on 11 December.



UK Christmas Number One



Today, when he is 27 years old, Matt Cardle has grab UK Christmas number one with his debut single, "When We Collide". He sold 439,000 copies. Before he won, he was stunned his fans by confessing that he is in danger of losing his voice, so that he may not be able to perform. It’s because he suffered from tonsillitis and laryngitis during the competition. He said, "I don’t know if I can sing in the final. It’d be an absolute disaster and it can happen. I just hope for the best and I will sing it the best I can do on the finale night." And, with his talent to play guitar since he was 11 years old, he distinguished from other contestants and could go to the top.



His personal life



Matt’s personal life may not be as colorful as media reports show it to be. It seems his personal life became an issue after his ex-girlfriend decided to speak out. He broke up with Lauren Cutmore, his girlfriend of four years, as he progressed through X Factor. She accused him cheating on her regularly during their relationship. She added that Grace Woodward, the X Factor stylist, should be wary if rumors that she is dating with Matt are correct. Later, he was spotted with former S Club Junior’s, Stacey McLean, after goes to the single charts at Number One. They had met earlier at an S Club Juniors reunion party. And before that, he is being linked with dancer Sarah Robinson and make-up artist Lauren Clements.
